Officers from the Wallkill Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from a Domino’s delivery driver who stated that two men had made off with his car while he was making a delivery.
The subsequent investigation led police to Middletown residents Jose Guzman and Dylan Goodlett-Rodriguez, who were spotted in the allegedly stolen car. Officers stopped the pair, one of whom fled on foot before being apprehended. Both were arrested at the scene and the vehicle was recovered on Regency Court.
Both men were charged with grand larceny and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Goodlett-Rodriguez was also charged with obstructing governmental administration and criminal possession of marijuana.
Following arraignment, the pair were released on their own recognizance. Both are due back in the Town of Wallkill Court on March 21 to answer the charges.
